HP iPAQ rx3715 Mobile Media Companion ROM Update 1.01.11.

This package contains the ROM Update Utility (RUU) and ROM image for the listed iPAQ model and operating system. The ROM Update Utility replaces the current ROM image on the handheld with an updated version.

This update utility is designed to replace the current ROM image and erase the partnership and all user data and programs on the iPAQ Pocket PC. It is important to read and understand the information in the Readme file included with this update BEFORE installing this package.

  • Do not perform the ROM update through a USB hub. This may cause the host PC to receive a "General Protection Fault" error, thereby forcing a reboot of the Host PC on completion of the ROM Update.
  • This update does not work through a serial port connection.

    Fixes: Resolves Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer shutdown issue.

  • Adds Microsoft Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for Pocket PC.
  • Updates ROM to Bluetooth driver build 2600.
  • Updates ROM to iPAQ Mobile Media version 2.0.1.87.
