HP iPAQ h4350/h4355 Pocket PC ROM Update 1.10.

This package contains the ROM Update Utility (RUU) and ROM image for the listed handheld model.

  • IMPORTANT: This update utility replaces the current ROM image and erases the partnership and all user data and programs on the handheld. It is important to read and understand the information in the Readme.txt file included with this update BEFORE installing this package.
  • NOTE: The ROM date under Asset Viewer will not match the web release date. The "Asset Viewer" date should not be used to determine the level of the ROM revision.

    Fixes

  • Connectivity: Corrects issue with the JavaScript event handler enabling it to operate correctly. Enables Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer to use cached pages when offline, even for local servers.
  • Contacts:
  • Removes duplicate radio telephone number from Contacts List view.
  • Localization: Corrects issues where errant character was inserted by Action button on KOR model.
  • Settings: Enables handheld to properly return to Power Off state after an alarm.

    Enhancements

  • Includes HP iPAQ Image Zone Software version 1.15.002.
  • Updates Asset Viewer to display the Wireless LAN (WLAN) Driver version.
  • Updates HP Enroll application.
  • Connectivity: Adds support for Wireless Protective Access (WPA). Adds ability to configure Accept header for Microsoft Pocket Internet Explorer. Improves wireless connectivity technologies.
  • Contacts: Sorts contacts according to the Country selected in Regional Settings.
  • Instant Messenger: Adds Instant Messenger (IM) sign in.
  • Localization: Adds ability to enter full IP address for DNS entry in Spanish. Adds ability to save contacts with Far East characters in both first and last names. Adds ability to use partial Cyrillic name to find contacts. Enables Korean (KOR) keyboard to support ¡®~¡¯ character. Updates the WLAN country code setting to support additional WLAN channels for French and Spanish.
  • Settings: Enables CHT owner information to be shown on Power-On.
  • Shell: Improves USB reliability. Adds use of high-quality MIDI playback for alarms and meeting reminders. Improves data integrity when file system is near maximum capacity.
